For the second time since 2014, Clark Freeport Zone hosted MICECON 2024. The largest gathering of Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) professionals in the Philippines.

The Philippine M.I.C.E. Conference (MICECON) is taking place from July 10-12 at SMX Convention Center Clark. Expecting more than 700 delegates from the meetings and events industry.

This year’s conference theme is XD: Xperience Diversified. Bringing together the brightest minds in the industry to explore the pivotal role of technological innovation and AI hand in hand with diversity and inclusivity.

The three-day event featured Pre-Conference Activities starting with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program to the different venues around Clark like CDC Family Care Center at Barangay San Vicente, Bale-Balayan Museum for the Poor, La Rose Noire Foundation and Hansa Toy Creations Inc.

The MICEmarket was located at SM City Clark supporting local entrepreneurs showcasing their finest brands and products.

The most awaited First-Time Attendees Introductory Session and Philippine MICE Youth Challenge. Followed by an astonishing Welcome Dinner Reception at Clark International Airport for the delegates from across the country.

During the Opening Ceremony on July 11, Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera President and CEO, Clark Development Corporation gave the warmest welcome to all delegates who attended the event.

The new “MICE Philippines: We Take Your Business to Heart” program was announced by Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, who emphasized the value of the MICE sector.

Themed luncheons and dinners at Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, Swissotel, Quest Plus Conference Center Clark and Royce Hotel & Casino presenting the flavors and culinary experience that the city has to offer.

Memorable plenary sessions and the line-up of distinguished speakers discussing the industry trends, opportunities and future of MICE.

SMX Convention Center Clark has over 4,000 square meters of leasable space including 3 Halls, 3 Function Rooms, and 14 Meeting Rooms.

Clark, officially known as the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone (CFEZ), refers to an area in Central Luzon, Philippines. 10 years ago MICECON 2014 happened in Clark from 4 to 7 June 2014. The Conference Theme: “MICE in 4D – Driving passions, Developing minds, Defying limits, Designing the Future”.

The second edition of the “Professional Events Management: A Guide to Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions, and Events” was launched last June 7, 2024 during the 25th Philippine Academic Book Fair at Megatrade Hall. 

The author signing, book presentation, and conversations of the book authored by the Philippine MICE Academy and published by C&E Publishing, Inc.  

Industry practitioners, educators, event professionals, stakeholders were invited to this event. Those industry players who continue supporting the advocacy on professionalizing the events industry through education. 

Ms. Cynthia Bernabe, Lead Author and Principal Reviewer and Mr. Anton Magpanta, Co-Author and Reviewer of this book shared the new insights and how they adapted their actual experiences learned from recent professional developments to the second edition. 

The book covers the course online requirements of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and of TESDA-Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.  

The second edition is the result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the events transition, embrace new technologies and apply them through the different formats (virtual, hybrid and in-person).  

This material is an essential resource for those who are involved in planning, organizing or attending meetings and events. The book covers topics ranging from strategic planning to post-event evaluation. Case studies are part to reinforce the learning of these lessons to master skills to train future event planners for those common event planning challenges, solutions and opportunities in event management. 

The Professional Events Management book is an excellent recourse for those that look for quality event education to produce competitive, memorable and impactful MICE events.

The Global Exhibitions Day (GED) is the largest day of awareness and advocacy for the exhibition industry. Today we celebrate the 9th edition under the theme “Exhibitions are catalysts to a sustainable future”.

Exhibitions drive progress: Exhibitions are platforms to discuss, create and showcase solutions to our universal challenges.

GED recognizes the value and impact of physical exhibitions and business events not only in the local communities from industry players from 100 countries and regions worldwide. 

3.4 million total jobs are directly and indirectly supported by exhibitions globally. Exhibitions in Asia-Pacific generate 905,600 jobs.

GED 2024 highlights the impact of exhibitions on facilitating the communication and collaboration of all types of industries and marketplaces. Exhibitions are the bridge impacting the economy on local communities.

“Meetings Matter”! Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) is the largest and most important day that recognizes the value of the meetings and events worldwide. An industry celebration held across the globe by leaders and professionals, the significance of this day is to acknowledge the impact of meetings on the global economy.
